Chemical Peels

Peels are medications that contain specific types of acids made for the skin, and will penetrate to different depths and for different targets depending on your skin type and condition being treated. Dr. Tokarz wants to know exactly what ingredients are in the medical peels she uses, therefore, she’ll only use pure products and avoids proprietary brands where the percentages are not known. Depending on the strength of the peel, your skin will take 2-5 days to complete the peel process leaving “fresh” skin at the surface. Dr. Tokarz will recommend maintenance therapy to ensure the benefit you receive from the peel will be maximized. We offer the following:

• Melasma Peels: Performed as a series of peels to gently remove irregular pigment causing this troublesome condition.

• Acne Peels: We use a medicine that specifically targets acne lesions and many patients report significant improvement after one treatment. This is especially helpful for young adults who want their acne improved in a short time for a special event. 

• TCA Peels: These stronger acid peels help patients with moderate to severe photodamage. These may be a more affordable option compared to laser resurfacing for someone with significant superficial sun damage.
